We have many needs but very little resources here in Chuuk, FSM. On this page you’ll find various ways to get involved with us to support our various programs and services. While we are chartered as a non-profit organization in the Federated of Micronesia (FSM) you will need to check with your respective government for a tax-deductible donation.
Donate:
Funds – Your donation of any amount supports our operational costs including utilities, programs, and services. SHIP-HOOPS INC is a
501(c)(3) tax-exempt US non-profit corporation as designated by the
IRS.

School Supplies – With so many of the students’ families without an income, our kids need whatever school supplies including pencils, crayons, books, children’s instructional DVDs, notebooks, children’s books.
Sports Equipment – Donate used or new sports equipment to help our sports programs for Chuukese youth. Please contact us if you want us to arrange for large cargo shipments from the United States.
Volunteer Opportunities:
Teachers – Join us as a teacher in our Akoyikoyi School and be part of improving the lives of Chuukese children and eliminating the debilitating effects of poverty and lack of opportunity. As a teacher and mentor you’ll help awaken and inspire the next generation of Chuukese youth.
Grant Writer – Do you have experience writing grants for small nonprofit organizations or schools? If so, we could use your help to work with us from wherever you are.
Suggest Other Ways – We are open to working with you to create a unique volunteer opportunity for you based on your interest, expertise, and our needs.
